The revered Nyingma master\, Ju Mipham Rinpoche\, composed this text and used it to guide his students\, instructing them to meditate on each section for as long as it took to attain direct experience of its meaning.When practiced in this way\, meditative experience will arise for those who did not previously have meditation\, and for those who already have experience\, it will cause their meditation to progress. Although profound\, this sequence of instructions is easy to understand\, easy to practice\, and will easily lead to direct experience.Everyone is welcome to attend\, and full attendance to the whole weekend is requested in order to receive the full transmission\, as this ensures the ability to obtain the most complete understanding of all the points in the teaching. Bardo is a Tibetan word that can be translated as “in-between state of experience.” These consist of: the bardo of this life\, the bardo of dreams\, the bardo of meditation\, the bardo of death and dying\, the bardo of true nature\, and the bardo of becoming. \n\n\n\nUnderstanding the six bardos informs us about what is truly meaningful and important. This knowledge helps us to overcome all the suffering that we experience due to focusing only on what happens in the short term circumstances of this life alone. Contemplating these six states of experience provides us with a vast and long term view\, which embraces a more broad perspective of the future.
