Description
This is the transcription of a teaching given by Khentrul Lodrö Thayé Rinpoche in 2009 at ChöKhor Ling in Arcata, California. It has been referred to as “the OM AH HUNG teaching”. It has been edited/formatted and available as this printed book. One must have attended Shamata teachings with Rinpoche or received permission from Rinpoche to purchase this text. There is a coordinating recording of the teachings which can be purchased through the Recordings link.
Over three full days, Rinpoche taught extensively on shamatha (calm abiding) meditation and gave a significant introduction to vipashyana (profound insight) meditation, and the way these two are related. In these several hours of teaching, translated by Paloma Landry, Rinpoche expounds on the key elements for these particular practices and the general approach to be taken for all practice, in order to ensure that our practice is that of an authentic path that will lead to the authentic result.
