Newton County Christian Food Room
Monetary donations are collected monthly for our local food room. The prices of food and other necessities has increased drastically and are effecting everyone, including a lot of people in Newton county. The families in the community truly depend on the Newton County Christian Food room to help them make ends meet. The sangha collected and donated more than $10,000 in 2022.

Gift Cards for Safe Futures Shelter Residents
Sangha members donated $500 worth of Stop and Shop grocery store gift cards for shelter residents, which were distributed by Safe Futures at their winter holiday party. Safe Futures provides services to those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.

Prison Holiday Gift Bags
Sangha members solicited donations and provided gift bags of snacks and hygiene items for inmates of the women’s prison for the Christmas holiday.

Sangha members donated new pajamas and books for children in the foster system awaiting adoption.

Donations to Help Beings
Sangha members donated more than $600 to help manatees, donkeys, feral cats, a farm sanctuary, 2 food pantries, a homeless shelter, and Goodwill.
